Woman sadly dies at Anglesey festival

We can confirm that a woman has sadly died at a festival in Llanfaethlu, Anglesey.

Emergency Services attended Tonnau festival at Carreglwyd Estate at around 1.45am this morning, 11 July, following reports of a medical emergency.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, sadly, the 18-year-old woman later died in hospital.

The death is being treated as unexpected whilst investigations are ongoing and the coroner has been informed.

Detective Inspector Iolo Edwards said: “Our thoughts remain with the woman’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.
