A prolific shoplifter has been jailed after stealing from a high street shop in Bangor.
Kevin Jones, of Ffordd Y Castell, Maesgeirchen, Bangor, appeared at Caernarfon Magistrates Court on December 5th after admitting to theft.
The 40-year-old went to Boots on November 28th and stole several gift sets to a value of £125.
He was jailed for 14 weeks. He was also ordered to pay back the cost of the items he had stolen.
District Inspector Ian Roberts said: “Retail theft is not a victimless crime and the impact on the businesses and staff affected by it should not be underestimated.
“We will continue to work hard to bring offenders to justice to protect those working in the retail sector.”
