Hero police officers and staff from across the UK who have died while protecting the public will be commemorated in a permanent memorial to be unveiled on Wednesday, 28th July at the National memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.

Tuesday 14 July 2020 is designated as a national day to remember the victims of Honour based abuse and forced marriage. The date was selected in memory of Shafilea Ahmed who was murdered by her parents in an honour killing in September 2003.
