Sadly, we can confirm that the body of a man was discovered in the Trearddur Bay area of Holyhead on Saturday, December 7th.
The man has now formally been identified as 33-year-old Rowan, who we circulated as missing from Bangor last week. There are thought to be no suspicious circumstances.
Following the searches that were launched following his disappearance, Rowan’s father said: “Thank you to the police, coastguard and RNLI and all others who were helping to find Rowan.
“The family are very grateful for all the efforts made and for people who came out in their own time to help.”
“Thank you to the police and coroner’s office for their continued support and consideration to the family. Thank you all.”
Our deepest condolences remain with Rowan’s family and friends, who have requested their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.
