We can confirm that the body of a 22-year-old man was found near to Bangor Pier shortly after 7am yesterday morning, September 17th.
The person’s family and the coroner have been informed and we continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
Detective Inspector Richard Griffith said: “Sadly, we received a report that a body had been found yesterday morning.
“We are now working to understand the man’s final movements.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area or may have dashcam footage between Holyhead Road, Bangor, to Menai Bridge, Anglesey, between 2am-5am on the morning of September 17th to contact us.”
