Following reports of videos circulating on social media, we can confirm that a 13 year old boy from the Ruthin area has been arrested on suspicion of offences under the Online Safety Act.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons has been released on conditional police bail pending further enquiries.
Detective Inspector Richard Evans said: “As our investigation is active, I would warn the public from sharing any videos or digital communications which may impede any potential future legal proceedings.
“I would like to stress to parents and local residents that we continue to work closely with the Local Authority and schools, and there is no cause for concern for the wider community.
“Our usual school safety patrols will continue by way of reassurance, and should anyone have any specific concerns, please speak to one of our local officers.”
