Cadets take up their new posts

The High Sheriffs of Gwynedd and Clwyd have recently appointed their Volunteer Police Cadets (VPC) for 2021/22.
In Gwynedd VPC Olivia Ward and VPC Bethan Evans will accompany High Sheriff Gwyn Owen on official duties during his year in office, and in Clwyd VPC Jaydon Parry and VPC Jack Taylor will accompany High Sheriff Steve Thomas.
The Cadets were formally appointed this week at ceremonies in St Mary’s Church, Caernarfon and North Wales Police Headquarters.
Mr Gwyn Owen, High Sheriff of Gwynedd, welcomed Cadets Olivia and Bethan at a ceremony in St Mary’s Church - otherwise known as the Garrison Church. With their parents and Canon Dylan Williams in attendance, the High Sheriff told Olivia and Bethan that being High Sheriff’s Cadets were “exciting times for them with big responsibilities during the year ahead” and was delighted to present them with their High Sheriff Cadet badges.
In Clwyd, High Sheriff Steve Thomas was joined by North Wales Police’s Citizens in Policing Team Leader, Chris Perkins, and Cadet Team Leader Sam Roberts to present VPCs Jaydon Parry and Jack Taylor with their High Sheriff badges. On a glorious spring evening outside North Wales Police Headquarters the High Sheriff told Jaydon and Jack that he was looking forward to an enjoyable and rewarding year including a wide variety of community engagements accompanied by his Cadets.
