Report a road traffic incident with possible offence without evidence
Thank you. If you've exchanged details with the people involved in the incident, you don't need to tell the police. See the Road Traffic Act 1988, Section 170 for further details.
However, if you believe an offence has been committed that led to the incident, you can report it here.

Please have the following details available, if possible:
- date and time of the incident
- registration and make of your vehicle
- registration and make of any other vehicles involved
- contact details of the other person, or people, involved in the incident
What will happen to your online report
We’ll review what you’ve sent us and assess whether we can take any action.
Please note, as there's no evidence of the incident taking place, we can't prosecute anyone for a driving offence. However, if we get any new information we may get in touch and investigate your report further.
Once you have submitted a report on this site, you’ll be able to download a copy of it. That will be a collision report. You will be able to send that report to your insurance company or solicitor.
