Enabling fairness, impartiality, and confidence in forensic collision investigation.
The Forensic Collision Investigation Network (FCIN) is a national team of specialists working to deliver a fair, consistent and enduring network led approach to scientific services for Forensic Collision Investigation.
The network ensures that Forensic Collision Investigators can rely on and underpin their investigations and evaluations with impartiality, scientific integrity, and confidence, whilst meeting the new statutory requirements for the provision of evidence in critical cases.
"Our work supports the reduction of serious and fatal collisions on our roads. Working in partnership with forces across England and Wales, the FCIN improves the quality of collision investigations and the criminal justice outcomes for victims and their families.
Hosted by North Wales Police, we are funded and led by the policing community, providing support to our member forces and stakeholders in their progress towards accreditation. We achieve this with a team of dedicated managers, scientific and technical expertise, as well as quality management advice, competency testing, and auditing.”
