Seb re-joined North Wales Police as DFR in November 2019 having first worked within the organisation’s finance function between 2005 - 2009.
CIMA qualified, Seb started his career on Royal Mail PLC’s finance graduate scheme before moving into the private sector as a Finance Tutor with BPP Ltd.
Keen to relocate to North Wales, in 2003 he took on the Deputy Financial Controller role with BNFL PLC, at the Trawsfynydd Decommissioning Site before joining North Wales Police for the first time as Benefit Realisation Accountant, where the focus was on driving value from the various change projects and programmes taking place within the organisation at the time.
In 2009, Seb returned to the private sector delivering in a number of senior finance roles including several years working as the Finance Director of Afonwen Laundry Ltd, one of Wales’ fastest growing businesses, and subsequently as Finance Director of Johnson Service Group PLC’s nationwide Hotel Linen Division.
A big believer that excellent financial management matters regardless of sector, he always hankered for a return to a role that gave an opportunity to make a real difference to North Wales and its people and so jumped at the chance to return to North Wales Police in the DFR position.
His portfolio includes Finance, Procurement, ICT, Facilities, Fleet, Legal Services and CIO.
In his spare time he enjoys it most when spent with his partner and son but tries to squeeze in some running and cycling when he can.
