A motorcyclist has died following a road traffic collision near Mold earlier today (Thursday, March 6).
At 09:16 police received a report of a collision on the A494 at Llanferres involving a Honda motorcycle and a Mercedes Sprinter van.
The emergency services attended however sadly; the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin and the Coroner have been informed.
Detective Sergeant Katie Davies of North Wales Police’ Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our condolences go to the man’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“We are appealing for any witnesses, or anybody who may have been travelling along the A494 just prior to the collision and who may have dash cam footage to contact us.”
The road remains closed but is expected to re-open shortly.
