A 25-year-old man has been charged following an operation to disrupt County Lines drug dealing in Bangor.
The operation on Wednesday, February 19th, saw stop searches being carried out in the city, which resulted in a large amount of suspected Class A and B drugs and a meat cleaver being seized.
Callum Kinney, of Lightbowne Road, Manchester, was arrested and subsequently charged with possession of a knife and possession with intent to supply cocaine, heroin and cannabis.
Kinney was remanded into custody to appear before Llandudno Magistrates Court this morning.
District Inspector Ian Roberts said: "This power of stop and search can disrupt organised criminality and helps take drugs and weapons off our streets.
“There is no place for drugs or violence in our community and further operations will continue in the coming months in our area.
“We are committed to creating a hostile environment for anyone who believes they can exploit our community.
“If you have any information about criminality in our area, please contact us on 101, or via our website.
“Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
