Plane crash in Ahmedabad
The UK is working with local authorities in India to urgently establish the facts and provide support to those involved.
A forensic spray with a 100% detection rate in identifying criminals has been offered to thousands of homes in Wrexham.
Officers have provided crime prevention packs to over 2,500 residents in the Grosvenor, Brynffynon and Smithfield areas to protect residents from theft, with many being offered SmartWater.
Going forward, officers will be offering video doorbells and solar lights to vulnerable members of the community who have previously been victims of burglary.
This comes as part of the Safer Streets Fund, which was awarded to tackle neighbourhood crime, violence against women and girls (VAWG) and anti-social behaviour (ASB).
Signs have also been placed in the area to deter opportunistic thieves.
Prevention Team Sergeant Sue Carrington said: “Residents have told us that they feel reassured by the work that has been going on locally to deter theft and burglary.
“Everyone should feel safe in their own home and burglary can have a lasting impact on anyone who has been targeted, leaving them feeling vulnerable.
“We continue to work with partners and the community to make Wrexham feel safe to anyone who lives, works or visits.
“I would encourage anyone who had had a pack through the door with a UV pen to visit Wrexham Police station with their letter to discuss crime prevention and receive their free SmartWater.”
Crime Prevention advice can be found on our website.
Only eligible areas are entitled to free crime prevention packs. However, residents interested in purchasing SmartWater for a reduced rate can contact officers via email [email protected]
