Sadly, we can confirm that the body of a 52-year-old man was found in Carmel yesterday afternoon (Monday, June 3rd).
Police received a report of a concern for safety of a man yesterday morning shortly after 10.30am. Local searches were launched, and the man’s body was discovered a short time after.
Whilst in attendance, officers identified a material of potential hazardous concern in the area.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene and following joint investigations with the emergency services, no ongoing concerns to the public were identified.
The coroner has been informed.
Detective Inspector Richard Griffith said: “Our thoughts remain with the man’s family at this difficult time.
“This was an isolated incident and emergency services were stood down at around 8.15pm following joint enquiries that found there are no wider concerns for the community.
“I would like thank residents in the area for their understanding and patience while we carried out our investigations.”
