Dispersal order following Prestatyn disorder

A Dispersal Order has been issued in Prestatyn town centre following youth-related anti-social behaviour.

This has been prompted by an escalation in reports of ASB, criminal damage and public order offences in the retail park area last night, Tuesday June 11^th.

 One teenager was arrested on suspicion of hate related public order and has since been bailed with conditions.

 Temporary Inspector Ben Garnett said: “We recognise the detrimental impact incidents like these have on the community and local businesses.

 “Enquiries are ongoing with the to identify all of those involved. If you have any information that could assist us or may have dash cam or video footage of the incident, please contact us.

 “I’d like to thank the community for their quick reports and assistance whilst the incident was ongoing.

 “There will be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days to deter any further incidents of anti-social behaviour and disorder.”

 The dispersal order covers the area outlined in the map below and will remain in place until 7.30pm on June 13^th.

The order allows police officers to direct anyone to leave the area if they believe they have committed, or are likely to commit, anti-social behaviour.
