PC Angela Jones was recently commended by Chief Superintendent Sian Beck following her courage and professionalism during an incident involving a man with a knife.
On November 25th 2023, PC Jones attended an incident on Llangefni High Street following reports of a man being disruptive in the area.
On attendance it was discovered that the man was carrying a knife. PC Jones single-handedly dealt with the man and protected members of the public until further officers could arrive. The man was subsequently arrested.
Chief Superintendent Sian Beck said: “PC Jones remained calm and professional throughout this incident to protect the public and prevent any harm from occurring.
“Her bravery and ability to control the situation led to the positive conclusion which deserves to be recognised.”
