A dispersal order and an increased police presence remains in place to deter anti-social behaviour in areas of Rhos, Ponciau and Johnstown.
The order is in place from 4pm on Sunday, December 22nd to 4pm on Tuesday, December 24th following a rise in the number of incidents since the end of October.
We have received a number of reports of a large group of youths intimidating members of the public by throwing stones and eggs at vehicles and houses, theft and causing a nuisance at retail premises.
As a result, Inspector Darren Groom authorised a dispersal order to be put in place, covering the area outlined on the map below.
It gives officers and PCSOs the power to direct anybody engaging in anti-social behaviour to leave the area and not to return.
Sergeant Stuart Roberts said: “Intimidating members of the public is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
“We are taking every report of anti-social behaviour in these areas seriously and remind anyone who fails to comply with this dispersal order that they will be arrested.
“I have today spoken with local councillors from the area around the concerns and advise residents to report incidents to us on 101, or via the website at the earliest opportunity.
"I once again urge parents to discuss this with your children and ensure you know where they are and what they are up to.”
