Over the Easter holidays, The Neighbourhood Policing Team have been working with Anglesey Youth Services and young members of the community in Moelfre.
PACT funding was granted towards a community project that saw 17 young people between the ages of 11-17 take part in a village litter pick, as well as attending sessions by the RNLI about water safety and the substance misuse youth worker.
The project ended with an Easter egg hunt to reward their participation.
PCSO Iona said: “Youth projects are so important to create learning opportunities and to develop new skills for young people.
“We appreciate the PACT funding which has allowed us to encourage a positive group atmosphere for youths to build their sense of community pride and consider their own safety when out with friends.
“The young people involved did a great job and I’m pleased they enjoyed themselves.
“I also give thanks to the youth services for their excellent work and commitment in engaging with the young people and giving them all these excellent opportunities.”
PACT Project Manager Dave Evans said: “I am delighted to see so many young people getting involved in this project, showing that they are a vital part of our community. Thanks to PCSO Beckmann and her colleagues, and Anglesey Youth Service for making this project such a success.”
