A 31-year-old man has been jailed for blackmail.
Richard John Owen, of Pensarn, Abergele, today appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court charged with blackmail offences.
He received two years imprisonment.
Investigating Officer Detective Constable Chelsea Symonds-Roberts said: “We welcome today’s sentence, which reinforces our commitment to tackle such heinous crime.
“Owen targeted a person who offered him nothing but kindness, his behaviour was abhorrent and caused a great deal of distress.
“I commend the victim who came forward for their bravery throughout such a difficult experience.”
