"I’m PC Scott Jones and I’m based at Bangor Police Station.
"I have been a PC for four years and have worked on response since I passed out from my training.
"I enjoy response for several reasons, but the main one is being a first responder to an incident where I can take immediate action to safeguard victims and members of the public.
"Alongside being a response officer, I am also a cadet leader. I’m able to balance the two roles with support from an amazing team and management, who help me to manage time and shift patterns to allow me to do both roles.
"Being both a response officer and cadet leader are extremely challenging roles. However, it is also extremely rewarding to apply my experiences in response and additional skills such as Taser and PSU, to protect the community and teach my cadets."
Keep an eye on our social media channels throughout the week where we will be shining the light on our response officers using #ResponsePolicingWeek.
