A 27-year-old man has been jailed for domestic abuse offences.
Tony Paul Michael Jones, of Caernarfon, appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court on Monday July 24th, after pleading guilty to controlling and coercive behaviour and suffocation offences.
He was sentenced to two years and 10 months imprisonment and was made the subject of a restraining order for five years.
Detective Constable Eleri Jones said: “I would like to commend the courage of the victim throughout this process.
“We know that it isn’t easy to report incidents of this nature and without her bravery we would not have secured this positive result.
“I’d like to reassure anyone who is suffering from controlling and coercive behaviour that we will take your report seriously and will fully investigate any concerns.”
