Four young people have been arrested following a fire at Shire Hall in Llangefni.
Emergency services were called shortly before 10pm last night (December 17th) to report a fire at a derelict building on Glanhwfa road, Llangefni.
Surrounding roads in the area were closed whilst emergency services dealt with the incident.
Four teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of arson and are currently in police custody whilst our enquiries continue.
Detective Inspector Richard Griffith said: “We believe that this fire was caused by deliberate ignition and our investigations are underway to understand the circumstances.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the area yesterday evening and may have witnessed the incident or may have dashcam or phone footage to contact us.
“We thank the local community for their patience and support whilst emergency services dealt with the fire.”
