Alliance Police Dogs Raise Funds with 2023 Calendar

Each month features one of the dogs in action, shining the spotlight on the huge variety of work they do, from supporting armed operations and chasing after criminals to searching for missing persons.
All proceeds from the 2023 calendar will be split between two charities; Paws Off Duty and the Thin Blue Paw foundation.
Under police regulations, dogs used for general purpose or drugs work are paid for by the force until they retire, often between the ages of eight and ten-years-old. But once they leave the force, all funding from the force ceases, and all costs then sit with the dog’s handler, or if the dog has been re-homed, the new owner.
Both charities help to assist with the day-to-day costs of looking after the animals as they clock ‘off duty’ to retire. This includes the cost of veterinary expenses.
PC Jackie Edwards who established the Paws Off Duty charity in 2015 said: “Every penny helps in supporting our retired K9’s that have dedicated their lives to looking after our communities and I hope the public can show their appreciation by purchasing one of these calendars, which will help enormously towards much needed funds. Once again I’d like to thank our friends at the Farm and Pet Place for their invaluable support. We really are extremely grateful for their assistance.”
