Penysarn youth project

A recent project has been completed in the village of Pensarn working with young people to create a beautiful piece of artwork. The project; funded by CRIMEBEAT was initiated by local North Wales Police PCSO Nerys Williams alongside Carol and Gordon from Penysarn Youth Club. It took about a month to complete and was finished in August 2021.

Young people from the area were involved and it allowed them to engage in a safe environment as the youth club had been closed since the first lockdown. The young people thoroughly enjoyed taking part in this project to brighten up the park in Pensyarn. Local artist Lucie Jones designed the piece and ensured the design was relevant to the village and the local history – we’d like to thank her very much for donating her time in creating and finishing this piece of work.
