A man has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison following a robbery in Flintshire.
Lee Griffiths, 37, of Llys y Brenin, Holywell, appeared at Mold Crown Court today (Tuesday, January 23rd) after admitting a count of robbery.
The incident happened shortly before 9.10pm on Friday, December 8th, when he targeted a shop on High Street, Holywell, dressed in dark clothing and wearing a mask covering his face.
After threatening the shop worker at the till, Griffiths stole £330 worth of alcohol and tobacco before making his escape.
He was arrested during the early hours of December 10th.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Simon Letch, said: “I welcome today’s sentence and will continue to work to pursue those who commit crime and bring misery and distress to our communities.
“To be subjected to such an ordeal is terrifying and something nobody should have to experience.
“We will continue to make North Wales the safest place to live, work and visit.”
